LEICESTER boss Stewart Dickson has won major local recognition after the Lions’ double-winning campaign of 2019.
Dickson, having completed his first season with the club after ending his long association with Glasgow, was named Team Manager of the Year at the Leicester Mercury Sports Awards.
It was the first time in the Watling JCB Lions’ history that they had received nominations at the event.
Dickson said: “This is a fabulous honour in great company. I see this as a collective award for all connected to our wonderful club.
“And also my thanks to the Bates family for bringing me back to the sport I feared I was lost to.”
